THQ have today announced that a stand alone expansion, titled Soulstorm, is coming for their RTS of the stupidly popular tabletop game WarHammer 40k.

Scheduled for release in Spring 2008, the game is set to introduce two new fractions bringing the total to a whoping nine. Tarrnie Williams, the general manager at Relic Entertainment says they are taking the war from "one planet to an entire star system" and that the game will be ""Allowing gamers to play nine unique races, introducing air units and providing multiplayer achievements for the first time creates a tremendous amount of new and challenging strategic gameplay for all players."
