Unreal Tournament 2007 renamed UT3

According to IGN Midaway, the publisher of the game formerly named Unreal tournament 2007, is being renamed Unreal Tournament 3. And it's coming to the PC, PlayStation 3 and Microsoft's Xbox 360 in the second half of 2007.



Didnt they change to a yearly nomenclature similar to sports game because they wanna portray the series as that? or are they changing the name to match it up better with its graphics engine, Unreal Engine 3. But thats a shallow reason. i wonder what the real reason is? hmmm.. Expect to see graphics on par or maybe even better than Gears of War (but i doubt it for a multiplayer shooter) regardless of what name it eventually ends up with.
