Unreal Mod becomes Commercial Game
excalibur Publishing has announced it will be publishing Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45, from developers Tripwire. The game, a World War II first person shooter, is based on the Red Orchestra mod for the Unreal.
Players choose from 28 infantry weapons or crew 1 of 14 detailed vehicles on the Russian Front between 1941-45. The combination of roles across more than one dozen maps, and based on real-world locations and battles, allows Red Orchestra to finally achieve its goal of delivering a full first-person, World War II infantry and vehicle combat simulation.

Alan Wilson, VP of Tripwire Interactive LLC, said: "We are pleased to have secured this UK publishing deal especially with an organisation like Excalibur. We're looking for great things from the UK market!" Excalibur's MD, Robert Stallibrass said, "Red Orchestra is an outstanding product. Without doubt this is one of the most important PC releases this summer."
Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 is due for release in the UK on June 23rd. For more information, head over to the Red Orchestra website.
