Unreal Mod becomes Commercial Game

Publishing has announced it will be publishing Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45, from developers Tripwire. The game, a World War II first person shooter, is based on the Red Orchestra mod for the Unreal.Players choose from 28 infantry weapons or crew 1 of 14 detailed vehicles on the Russian Front between 1941-45. The combination of roles across more than one dozen maps, and based on real-world locations and battles, allows Red Orchestra to finally achieve its goal of delivering a full first-person, World War II infantry and vehicle combat simulation.Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 is due for release in the UK on June 23rd. Alan Wilson, VP of Tripwire Interactive LLC, said: "We are pleased to have secured this UK publishing deal especially with an organisation like Excalibur.
