IGN has a hands on preview for an upcoming strategy game called UFO: Extraterrestials. Remember X-Com? Well, you might be surprised that while some games pay homage to the original X-Com, UFO: Extraterrestials actually plays and uses the same gameplay elements as the original. While this may be a good or bad thing, but if it manages to capture the addictive nature of the original then sign me up!

This April Chaos Concepts will release UFO: Extraterrestrials, a game that's so close to the original X-COM design that we're wondering when the IP's lawyers are going to start calling. It's true that games like UFO: Afterlight and Rebelstar tactical Command cribbed some of the mechanics and basic setup from X-COM but UFO Extraterrestrials follows the original game feature by feature.
