Ubisoft, publishers of the original Far Cry, and a multitude of other titles, have, in an act of outstanding generosity decided to give away 4 Free Games. Far Cry, Ghost Recon, Rayman Raving Rabbids, and Prince of Persia: Sands of Time are all now available to download free from any of the big gaming sites around the world.
EA have also decided to give away the original Command and Conquer, probably in an attempt to get more people to buy the quite fun C&C:3.
The slight catch is that the Ubisoft games are "ad-supported", meaning that they display ads in a couple of locations, mainly menus, within the games. From my playing I've only noticed them on select mission screens and the like, but there is a chance there might be some in game advertising around. Command and Conquer however, is completely ad free.
