Titan Quest Completed, Shipping Soon

The upcoming Role Playing Game Titan Quest has been completed and has reached the Gold Master stage, THQ announced today. The game has been developed by Iron Lore Entertainment, the company behind the Age of Empires series, and will see players journey across Greece, Egypt and Asia.

"Working with strong studios like Iron Lore Entertainment is key to THQ's strategy of bringing new, innovative properties to core gamers," said Kelly Flock, executive vice president of worldwide publishing, THQ. "The Titan Quest team has done a great job of creating a visually stunning game with the potential to reinvigorate the action RPG genre. We can't wait to hear the consumer response."

In Titan Quest, gamers will quest through fabled locations such as the Parthenon, the Great Pyramids, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and the Great Wall of China, to save humanity from terrifying monsters, mythical beasts and the evil Titans who have escaped their eternal prisons. The game features a deep single player and co-operative multiplayer game experience with an epic story written by award-winning screenwriter Randall Wallace (Braveheart, The Man in the Iron Mask).

Titan Quest will begin shipping to stores on June 26th, so expect it on shelves shortly thereafter.
