The Crossing Youtube Video

Is this the next big FPS based on the Source Engine?
Throwing around words such as "Single Player", "Multiplayer" and uhmm "Crossplayer", the video does show some nifty but familiar scenes. The Crossing aims to fuse single player with multiplayer and is from the creator of the beautiful but shallow Messiah of Might and Magic and the art director of half life 2.

This looks pretty cool. I'm a little fuzzy on exactly how this 'crossplayer' concept would work...single player missions to get to a multiplayer melee/team DM, or something along those lines? Either way I'll keep my eyes peeled, looks like it might be post-apocalyptic from the video...which I dig.

random Source-based games do seem to do pretty much the same thing...you play a mission, and then you can blow up other people in the actual map. We'll see how this particular idea pans out.

Even FPS, yes, sigh, I wish I can remember the name of that FPS "CrossPlayer", so I don't know what they are up to, they are not the first in their own genre, and not even the "first crossplayer" game... in the RPG genre, there is Dungeon Siege to begin with.
Now I could be wrong and their idea of a CrossPlayer is totally different. I have some ideas which were not yet implemented by any game to date, but I'm not sure if that's what they are claiming about :p
