Supreme Commander Hardware Guide
Gamespot has a hardware guide for running the insanely fun system hog called Supreme Commander. They test different configurations of game settings to make the most out of your hardware. Supreme Commander also can use your multiple CPU cores and bring them to their knees.
Gas Powered Games built Supreme Commander to be the RTS game for the next five years. the game will come with a map editor and a customizable user-interface system specifically designed to increase the game's longevity by giving users the ability to evolve the game. It's specifically designed to take advantage of hardware to make sure that game performance can scale as new hardware hits the market. Supreme Commander is the first game we've seen that actually takes advantage of multiple processor cores.

i’d love to play this game, but i’m looking at a £150 ram upgrade and at least £200 on a graphics card, how can i justify this spending for one game when that money equals the cost of a 360 premium plus a game, this is the one thing that keeps me from being a serious pc gamer and i can’t see that ever changing, unless i suddenly become rich.

Wow, Kevin, this is a game that makes you think before rushing your opponent’s base with the typical tank rush with a full on frontal assault. This is the one strategy game you should be playing, over and over. Too bad it needs so many resources..

This game is one of the best rtses ever! The many features of this game make the gameplay focus less on micromanagement and more on having fun. For example: strategic zoom, shift to see standing orders, autotransport, etc… The action ingame is just chaotic, you see everything going on the same time. It is really good to see so much chaos can be set into one game, but you’ll need a NASA computer to run it.
