After what seems an epic amount of development time, Will Wright's spore is finally, finally, getting close to being finished, and now we have some system requirements, and they are suprisingly low.

FOR WINDOWS XP
• 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
• 512 MB RAM
• A 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
• At least 6 GB of hard drive space

FOR WINDOWS VISTA
• 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
• 768 MB RAM
• A 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
• At least 6 GB of hard drive space

A 2ghz P4 is fairly old tech now, as is 128 PS2 graphics... as is 512mb RAM! I'll be suprised if the game actually runs decently on this setup, but I suppose if the engine is scaleable.... it might happen.

Who knows.
