Game Demos
by Jordan Grodecki on March 21, 2008

The sort of sequal to the oddly brillliant Galatic Civilizations has had a demo released today. If you remember, the original GC was one of the few modern games to come without copy protection, as apparently it inconvienenced real users and nobody else; and the sequal follows in it's tracks, with absolutely no copy protection whatsoever, which is brilliant for consumers who are fustrated at trying to work their way around the odd measures developers put in.
The game is a rather complex space sim, with hints of both turn based systems and the real time stratergy we all know both in there.... I had a play and I've got to say, it was tough, but I did like it. The demo gives some tutorials and a 1 player random map with 90 mins of playtime, not bad for a demo. Check it out here.
