JoyStiq are reporting on the fact that EA have come to an agreement with the creators of the OLPC, a low cost, simple laptop for children in developing countries, to distribute the original, and now rather dated, SimCity on every computer sold.

EA are keen to tout that this is"the first time a major video game publisher has gifted a game to the world", although their definition of the "whole world" must be different to ours; seeing as only 10 million of these laptops are set to be shipped by the end of 2008.
