SEGA have today announced that Creative Assembly, developers of the much loved "Total War" series will be bringing yet another age of combat to the strategic combat series.

Empire: Total War, is to be set in the 18th century, apparently the most requested by fans, and bring a never before seen unit to the game; boats. navel combat will give a variety of new features into the game, including being able to order your troops to board others ship and have on deck combat.

Typical updates to the game engine and UI are also in order, with apparent promises of better trade, diplomacy and espionage systems, all set for the very vague release date of "2008"
