In an attempt to bring the bling back to the once storied basketball franchise, EA Sports has been hard at work with new features that replaces the freestyle Superstar feature we've been fed the past NBA Live games. Introducing the Go To Experience. Sure, it reeks of marketing speak but hopefully EA actually did their homework this time around as NBA 2k8 is just around the corner.

The Go To Moves works like this: rather than pressing a button combination to pull off superstar moves ala the freestyle feature, NBA superstars will actually behave that way most of the time given the same circumstances as in real life. So lets say Kobe Bryant is posting someone up and the clock is running down, as he does so often in game, he will go to a fadeaway shot with one of his feet inching forward. Its all contextual so you don't need to tell them what move to do, the player just does it. Sounds good, no? But something tells me EA will need a release or two to perfect this system and make players come back to the game.
Lets see what the new Go To Experience has to offer:

Lets see what the new Go To Experience has to offer:
1. Signature Go-To Moves: Beyond last year's Signature Shots, Live 08 recreates the tried-and-true moves of the NBA's greatest players.
2. Quick-Strike Ball Handling: Freestyle moves are gone, replaced with a deeper system of dribble moves and defensive counters.
3. Own the Paint: The post game has been completely remade and turned into a shot/countershot battle for positioning where size truly does matter.
4. Hot Zones: The standard three shooting zones (close, medium, 3-pt) have been broken up further into left, center, and right sections. Bruce Bowen loves shooting treys from the corners, but put him at the top of the arc and he's likely to brick.
