Darwinia was a game a lot of people probably didn't play; it was a bit of a wierd RTS with a lot of concepts that didn't really tie in with the norm; including the lack of a multiplayer mode. It's true that a lot of the mechanics wouldn't really work in multiplayer....but now they have decided to try it.

As a standalone product, MultiWinia will be the multiplayer component of the game, and RPS has a nice preview with some big screenshots for those (including me!) who were not lucky enough to get into the beta. It's definitely worth checking out, and if you missed out on Darwinia, check that out too!
