turbine, developers of what they now claim to be the 2nd largest MMORPG (behind the ever present Warcraft), Lord of the Rings online, have announced they are giving out a free 7 day trial of the game, available in the US, Australia, and New Zealand only (sorry you Europeans, not for you this time).

Weighing in at a whopping 3.6gb (even more if you want the high resolution version), it makes me question somewhat whether it is really worth it, on the low chance that you may actually like the game, but each to their own, I guess.
