Fan of guitar hero? Wish you could play a real guitar, but still be damn good at it? well here might be a solution! Guitar Rising is a new PC game that has been announced, where you play the standard guitar hero "hitting the notes and strumming" game, but with a twist; you use a real guitar, hooked up through your sound card.

Now, this does sound like it has the potential to both be majorly awesome and to help teach people to play the guitar, yet one thing does bug me...how accurate will note detection through the soundcard input be? surely it will vary depending on sound card and the like.... Oh well, we'll see, I'm hopeful at least!.
