Gods & Heroes new areas and nomad class
Filed in archive Game Previews , MMORPG by Kevin Codamon on May 12, 2007
Check out the new areas of Gods and Heroes plus a sneak peek into the new Nomad class. Reminding me of games such as Titan Quest (and uh... Titan Quest), Gods of Heroes is shaping up to be a pretty romp through old Roma. Mythical creatures abound and the landscapes aren't looking bad at all. This game is worth checking out (as long as it doesn't crash my system the way Titan Quest does)

Two new areas we hadn't seen before were being demonstrated at the show, one of which was the first instanced zone players will stumble across in their adventures through the ancient Mediterranean. This particular zone borrows from the mythology of the god Vulcan. Those that follow the game will already know that the antagonists for the story are the Telkines, god-like beings that have come back from banishment to wreck havoc on the world once again. One of their insidious plans was to corrupt the area around the Sanctuary of Vulcan. It seems that the Dactyls, metalworking creatures responsible for the creation of automatons, have gone a little bonkers and started sending their creations down the volcanic mountain to cause some problems. Each player, being a favored son or daughter of the gods, will be sought out by Vulcan to help put a stop to the Dactyl shenanigans.
