The famously overhyped game in which John Romero was about to make you his erm... female dog? is set to be released for free for this month only on the GameTap service, much like Psychonauts was about a month ago.

Unfortunatly, unlike the fantastic Psychonauts, Daikatana really isn't anything like what it's hype said. It was delayed for ages, and speculated to be a revolution in FPS technology and gameplay, yet delivered nothing like it. It's still worth checking out for a sight of what used to be the biggest upcoming game...
