Galactic Civilization 2 Dark Avatar Reviews

Galactic Civilizations 2: Dark Avatar, the expansion to 2006's brilliant 4x strategy game, has been receiving great reviews. Gamespy says "Dark Avatar does much more than just add new units or new maps, it revisits the very underpinnings the game itself and adjusts them to make the whole experience richer." Richer indeed. Having played the game myself, i enjoyed how the expansions tightens up the gameplay while adding a new story, new races, tech improvements and new ship building components.



IGN also heaps praises on GC2: Dark Avatar saying: "joins a growing (but exclusive) list of awesome expansions that we've seen over the last year or so. Where most expansions are simply mission packs designed to "extend" the game experience for hardcore fans, Dark Avatar is an expansion in the truest sense of the word, bringing loads of new features that take the core game experience into new and exciting directions."

Bottomline is: if you love 4x strategy games then GC2: Dark Avatar is a must buy for you.
