Final Fantasy XIV

While the much hyped and critically acclaimed Final Fantasy XIII was released for consoles this week, details were unveiled to the PC gaming world on Final Fantasy XIV, another MMORPG set to be up there with the best. For some previews which make for interesting reading, take a look here.

The game is set for release in December, and follows on from Final Fantasy XI which, rather than take on the highly rated FFX, went against the franchise and was an entirely online game. A dangerous move in 2004 which paid off and helped give the MMORPG genre the kick it needed.

Although we would often be cynical looking at trailers as they are normally nothing more than misleading, the most recent trailers for Final Fantasy XIII have actually been quite honest in their portrayal.
