Rejoice FPS fans, Far Cry 2 is coming to our fave platform in spring 2008, developer Ubisoft announced today. The long-awaited sequel in the popular shooter series is under development at the company's Montreal studio.

A short teaser trailer on Ubisoft's Far Cry site briefly shows a bombed-out jeep in a wide-open field before the game's new logo (below) explodes onto the screen. And it just wouldn't be Far Cry without the jungle-themed background music.
So far, details are thin on the game, with no hints from Ubisoft on when it might make its way to consoles.
