Crysis powered MMO in the works
Filed in archive MMORPG by Jordan Grodecki on August 20, 2007

XLGames, a company formed by ex-Linage creator Jake Song and various other people from the Asian MMORPG industry, have licenced CryENGINE2, the engine behind the massively anticipated Crysis for a new MMO.
No details about the game have been released, but technical director Patrik Doane had this to say about the engine, and the companies previous involvement with CryTek's software. ""We previously had a lot of success using their ground breaking CryEngine 1 technology while at NCSoft for AION, and after seeing what it could do in the early previews of Crysis, we just knew we wanted to continue to work with their great new tools and engine."
