CES Crysis Update
Filed in archive Game Previews by Kevin Codamon on January 10, 2007
IGN has a preview of Crysis up directly from the CES Floor. They also got to see the different "modes" you can take on while using your nanosuit namely: cloak, armor, speed, and strength. Cloak is basically camouflage effect, Armor raises your resistance to damage and allows for some health regeneration, Strength allows you to manipulate objects in the environment that you wouldnt normally can, like vehicles, and Speed increases movement rate and allows for longer jumping distance. Also, Crytek said that Crysis will include weather conditions such as rain, tornados and snow storms. I'd love to see those in action...

Crysis is running on Vista and DirectX 10 here at the show. There are currently 10 levels in the game and each will have multiple Missions and side missions, some of which are optional. Optional missions will usually reward you with extra weapons or ammo. The goal of the level being shown today is to clear a village occupied by North Korean soldiers. Once you eliminate the soldiers, a helicopter will attack and you'll need to find some heavier firepower.
