Scott Wasson over at
TechReport asks an interesting question: Can our beloved gaming platform of choice compete in the living room? With intense pressure to dominate the living room space from such gaming heavyweights as Sony's Playstation 3, Microsoft's Xbox 360 and (to a lesser extent) Nintendo's Wii, Does the PC stand a chance?
Scott notes that he bought a Wii based on his son easily picking up the controls, He was sold on the fact that even though the graphics on the Wii look like a full generation behind even the low end GPU's available for PC's today, his son was having a great time. He tried replicating the experience by installing a Colin Mcrae Rally Demo and using a gamepad but it just wasnt the same.
Sure, our beloved PC's can give us the latest graphics and fancy effects but is it really a THE better and more enjoyable gaming platform?
