BioShock Demo Leaked; Official Release Tonight

Filed in archive Game Demos on August 20, 2007

It was learned that late yesterday the FilePlanet download system was cracked, and the unencrypted version of the BioShock demo was downloaded by some individuals, and has now been widely distributed. Although it might be against the "rules" somewhat, 2KGames do not seem to be actively preventing the game from spreading around the web, and as such I've managed to get my hands on it.

There is literally one word to describe this game, and that word is stunning. Beautiful environments, wonderful narrative, seriously tense game play and pure enjoyment all mixed together create one of the best demos that there has ever been.

Clocking in at a hefty 1.8gb, it's a bit of a chore to download, especially seeing as the actual play time is rather low, but it is seriously worth it. It runs perfectly well on my mid to high end system, with all settings maxed out, so this is a far better port than previous UE3 game, Rainbow 6 Vegas.

There is little point now downloading the leaked version, seeing as the real version will be available from FilePlanet and the like within the next 7 hours or so. Should be able to get the retail version from Steam then as well!
