2KGames have announced that a PC demo of the highly anticipated spiritual sequel to System Shock 2, Bioshock is too be released in the coming days, delayed slightly from the xBox360 version released yesterday. The statement on Cult of rapture, 2K's blog-like news site for the game puts the delay down to ensuring that the game "looked great on a huge variety of computers".

The company insists the demo will be out before the launch of the final game on August 21st, and personally, being a big fan of the System Shock games, I am very much looking forward it. I'll be sure to bring y'all an overview of the demo when it hits PCs around the world.
