Not to be outdone by the lower price point and comparable and often better performance of the new 7900 series graphics cards by Nvidia, ATI is readying their new GPU called the R580+. The new core technology will be based on a smaller 80nm die that will allow the processor to be smaller, require less power and run at higher clock speeds. Reportedly this is the same core ATI was previously calling the R581. Sample cards may be available by May with full production in June and August. What a great time to be a PC Gamer!

Well ATI is loosing ground and they are trying to get back. Their big issue ain't video cars, it's processors. They need to get their new 65 nm processors ready and then release the new R600 not 580. That's my opinion on this post.
