Atari moves away from single player

Although not directly PC gaming related; I find this interesting nonetheless. In an interview with Gamesultra, Phil Harrison has stated that the company is moving away from epic single player games and more toward the social and multiplayer games which are becoming more and more popular these days.

Alone in the Dark is set to be the last of the big budget single player games...wierd to think that online multiplayer has gone from hardcore to mainstream in such a short period of time...
