Assassins Creed set to eat your PC alive.

YouGamers has revealed the minimum specifications needed to run the PC port of hit console action adventure, Assassin's Creed and they are not at all pretty.
In recent times, as expected, we have seen the hardware requirements for games rise and rise constantly, but this one takes the cake; they are even higher than the stupidly demanding Crysis!
The game NEEDS a dual core processor to run, as well as a massive 2gb of ram, and if that isn't enough, they suggest that you have 3gb to run the game properly! It's crazy if you ask me, even if RAM is damn cheap currently. Of course this isn't all, it needs a 256mb graphics card at least, and it has to be one which was released in about the last year, or it plain won't function. Oh, and laptop graphics cards? they arn't officially supported, so good luck trying to troubleshoot if it doesn't work on your high powered desktop replacement laptop.
It makes you seriously question how much effort is put into PC ports like this; sure, it will take a fair old amount of work to make it run on PCs at all, but is it really at all optimized? It is becoming a trend with ports like this, to be done cheaply, and as such have very little hardware optimization, thus angering people like us, the PC gamers, who have to shell out masses of cash just to try and play the latest badly coded release.
