A Slow Week With Some Promise...

The latest release in the Total War franchise is set for this week. Napoleon: Total War promises to be one of the best in the series yet, and you can take a look at a hands-on preview here.

Apart from this it's been a slow week on the release front. Sonic and Sega's All Stars Racing looks like a promising bit of fun and has been likened to Mario Kart on the Wii, but that's about it. Next week, though, sees the highly anticipated Battlefield: Bad Company bringing the best FPS franchise back to the platform, and about time too after the dire attempt on the Xbox.

One which some of the more aware gamers amongst you may have been keeping your eye on is the fact that Assassin's Creed II, the much-hyped sequel to one of the most revolutionary games of last decade, which was released to buckets of acclaim last year on PS3 and Xbox 360, is to be released for PC next week. We all know that what the consoles can do, PC can do better, so this will, undoubtedly, be worth a look.
